Traditional Absinthe Sugar Holder

Sugar Holders were used at a bar or bistro to hold sugar cubes used in the ritual to sweeten the taste of the bitter absinthe. Tastes for an individual sometimes varies from 1 to as many as 3 cubes. This sugar holder is an exact reproduction of a late 19th century sugar holder.

  • Mouth-blown glass bowl.
  • Chrome plating over brass.
  • Stands 15.5" tall overall, with the base 6" in diameter.
  • The glass bowl is 5" tall and 5" in diameter.
