Retail Associate

This job entails serving as a friendly and efficient cashier, assisting customers on the sales floor, and restocking products. Retail experience and basic cocktail knowledge is preferred but not required. A willingness to learn and good fit with our team are essential.

Our ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm and confidence when discussing cocktails and spirits, while still being approachable and engaging with novice enthusiasts. We are looking for someone who communicates clearly and with ease, picks up procedures and acts quickly, and is naturally organized. We need someone who takes initiative to learn, but does not pretend to know everything. The ideal candidate will be comfortable problem-solving on the fly, and seeking guidance and support from managers as needed. 

Location: 20 Kensington Ave, 972 Queen St W, and/or Union Station 
Schedule: 2-3 shifts weekly, must have weekend availability
Probationary Period: 3 months

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Cashier duties, processing debit/credit payments
• Using Shopify POS system
• Assisting customers with product suggestions
• Staying up-to-date with new products and product knowledge
• Restocking sales floor, maintaining organized stock room
• Light cleaning duties on sales floor, stock room, and common areas
• Communicating daily with coworkers and managers at other locations via Slack
• Merchandising skills not necessary, but an asset

Minimum Requirements:

• Fluency in English
• Ability to lift light boxes and climb step ladders during restocking
• Previous experience in retail and/or service industry an asset
