This water dripper (or brouilleur) is an exact reproduction of an original 1900 century piece and was used as a single server to add water and sugar to one's absinthe. The wire legs can be carefully bent to accommodate a variety size of glasses.
The dripper is sat on top of your glass then ice and water are placed inside of the dripper and a cube of sugar on the round tray below. With a small hole in the middle of the bottom of the dripper, the cold water pours onto the sugar cube allowing the sugar and water to mix and fall through the holes in the round tray into the glass of absinthe below.
