We are seeking (1) full-time staff for our 972 Queen St. West location. We are an independent retailer focusing on cocktail-related items, such as bar tools, glassware, bitters, syrups, non-alcoholic spirits, and more. We have locations across the city on Queen Street West, in Kensington Market, and on Union Station’s Front Street Promenade. We also run a very busy online shop, shipping to customers worldwide. We adhere strictly to all COVID-19 distancing and public health measures, with a limit of 10 customers at once in Queen West, mandatory mask-usage by all staff and patrons, and regular disinfecting of high-touch zones.
The job requires working closely (figuratively) with our Queen West Manager to manage + display new stock, pack outgoing online orders, and engage with customers in-store. Retail experience is helpful, but not required. It is best if you have some basic cocktail knowledge, and a willingness to learn more.
Our ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm and confidence when discussing cocktails and spirits, while still being approachable and engaging with novice enthusiasts. We are looking for someone who communicates clearly and with ease, picks up procedures and acts quickly, and is naturally organized. We need someone who takes initiative to learn, but does not pretend to know everything. The ideal candidate will be comfortable problem-solving on the fly, and seeking guidance and support from managers as needed.
Wage: Starting at $18/hour
Schedule: Full-time; 5 shifts Sun-Thurs (35-40h/week)
